Susan Washburn

Susan Washburn

Susan Washburn has shared her expertise in effective supervision, mentoring, and professional development with scores of program leaders and educators through college courses, trainings, intensive onsite consultations, and national conferences. Currently, she is leading a number of CC&F’s efforts with the U.S Depatment of Education's Early Reading First program to support the creation of centers of excellence that will offer high-quality early literacy services to at-risk children. Ms. Washburn also co-developed and teaches the Foundations of Supervision for Early Childhood Managers, an Excellence in Teaching course that provides early childhood supervisors with new techniques to support staff performance and improve program quality. She holds a degree in child development and family relations from the University of Rhode Island.
