Nancy Clark-Chiarelli

Nancy Clark-Chiarelli

Nancy Clark-Chiarelli, an expert in quantitative research methods with an in-depth knowledge of young children's language and literacy development, has led several of CC&F’s complex, multi-site research initiatives. Dr. Clark-Chiarelli is currently the Principal Investigator for a 4-year U.S. Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences (IES) project studying the impact of two variations of professional development for early childhood educators in the area of language and literacy. She is also conducting an IES study focusing on early childhood science instruction and learning. Drawing upon her extensive experience in K-12 literacy, Dr. Clark-Chiarelli is also leading a project to identify and study schools with effective K-3 reading programs. She holds a doctorate in Reading, Language, and Learning Disabilities from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
