Diane Schilder

Senior research associate Diane Schilder leads CC&F’s investigations of child care policy and practice. An experienced quantitative researcher, she has examined the influence of policies for such organizations as the U.S. General Accounting Office and the Council of Chief State School Officers. As principal investigator of a Child Care Bureau-funded study of the nature and impact of partnerships between early education programs, she recently produced a comprehensive report and series of research briefs on this important strategy to streamline and improve services. She also contributes her expertise to a variety of CC&F’s school readiness initiatives. She holds a doctorate in education administration and policy studies from George Washington University.
