Ingrid Chalufour

Ingrid Chalufour has decades of experience in designing outstanding instructional materials for teachers who serve children birth to 8. Currently Ms. Chalufour is working as lead developer of Foundations of Science Literacy, a credit-bearing course and the curricular component of Assessing the Potential Impact of a Professional Development Program in Science on Head Start Teachers and Children. This three-year research study, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences (IES), is designed to test the impact of Foundations of Science Literacy on science teaching and learning in 31 preschool classrooms. An expert curriculum developer, Ms. Chalufour is a lead author of the highly-acclaimed Young Scientist curriculum published by Redleaf Press. Ms. Chalufour holds a master's degree from the University of Maine.
