
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) awarded the National Head Start Disabilities Services Training Center to Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC) in September, 1993. This project is designed to strengthen Head Start's capacity to play a leadership role in the inclusion movement in years to come. The Disabilities Services Training Center has developed a set of comprehensive training guides to assist Head Start programs in their staff development efforts to support children with disabilities and their families.
We have five part time professionals with a wide range of expertise on our Project Team.
All five of our guides have been published as of April 1999, and are available through the Head Start Information and Publication Center website: http://www.headstartinfo.org/.
