National Head Start Disabilities Services Training Center Logo

The National Head Start Disabilities Services Training Center (1993-1998), a project at the Center for Children & Families at Education Development Center, Inc. (EDC), has developed a series of five training guides to strengthen the capacity of early childhood programs to reach and serve children with disabilities and their families. These guides cover a range of topics related to disabilities services, from supporting children with challenging behaviors, to translating the IEP into everyday classroom practice.

ALL FIVE of our guides are now available! Click on the covers or titles below to find out more about our first three guides. Clicking on icons at the bottom of the page will give you a more in-depth look at our project and our team, ordering information, and links to helpful disabilities services resources.

Our fourth and fifth guides are Translating the IEP into Everyday Practice, and Including Children with Significant Disabilities in Head Start.
